2YL is run by friends from university.
After spending our student years in Kyoto, we moved to various parts of Japan for work.
We were separated. It had been a while since we started working.
The frequency of meeting with loved ones whom we are sad to part with is once a year, or once every five years.
It will become less and less commonplace.
It's kind of sad that people like us have become separated.
We started this place so we could get together.
Please come and visit us like going to your friend's house.
When We first moved here, we spent our time thinking about our future.

We renovated the guest rooms and created a sauna space in the backyard.
We are run by people with little experience in the hospitality industry and in the workforce.
We hope that this will become a third place that is life-sized and friendly for all of you .

2YL is renovated from an old seaside inn that had no customers.
It is a small hotel with 8 rooms.
In order to preserve the character of the building as much as possible, we are using items from the original inn.
The furniture and plants donated by local people are also included.
Because it is an old building, you can feel the presence of other guests.
